At Habitat for Humanity Thunder Bay, a large portion of our funding comes from individual donations. From the dollar sent to us by a school child to a large gift from a major donor, each and every donation supports our efforts to build homes with local families in need. Designate Your United Way Donation
Although Habitat Thunder Bay does not receive grant support from United Way, you can direct your individual donation to us. Please write in “Habitat for Humanity Thunder Bay” on the reverse side of the United Way pledge form. The United Way will forward your pledges to us.
Celebration Gifts
As you plan gifts for family and friends this year, consider a celebration gift that keeps on giving long after the wedding, anniversary, birthday, graduation, holiday or other special event or memorial. Upon receipt of your contribution, we will send an acknowledgment card indicating that you have made a gift to Habitat for Humanity Thunder Bay in honour or in memory of the person you are celebrating. Be sure to include the name and address of the person who will receive the card. Join the Carpenters’ Club
You can invest in your community without breaking your budget. Help Habitat for Humanity Thunder Bay partner with more low-income families by pledging your financial support each time we build a new home or renovate an existing house.
Join the Carpenters’ Club and pledge from $25 to $1,000 for each home we complete and dedicate. Your financial obligation will not exceed three homes per year. Your commitment can give our project that extra boost it needs to turn house plans into a dream home!
All the money raised by Club members will be designated for use exclusively to build Habitat homes for families, not for administrative or other expenses. You will receive one tax receipt for the combined total of your annual donations the following January. Help us to Address the Future! Sign, detach and mail the below information to show your support. You will be reminded by phone or email two weeks prior to the dedication date - the date your contribution will be due.
